EXPECTATION

I have a tendency to overestimate how well I know other people. Saying “oh I’m sure they would never do that” has come back to haunt me several times, because, as you can probably guess, the person ended up doing exactly whatever I was certain they wouldn’t.

Sometimes, I wonder if people who write books about daring adventures are similar to me, in the sense that they create stories of the life they wish for. Personally, I keep hoping for something… magical, other-worldly, special. This is probably becoming a tired topic by now, but it’s impossible for me to stop thinking about it, so I’ll keep writing about it. deal with it

INSPIRATION

Even though I frequently bring up my fierce desire to be the main character – the hero – of a story, there is a trope I probably relate to more. Manic Pixie Dream Girl refers to a female character whose only purpose in a story is to teach the male protagonist to embrace life and/or teach him some other valuable lesson. She exists only because of her relevance to a man.

HATE

A person I looked up to once told me that hate is a natural part of life. Everyone feels it, they said, and if anybody says they don’t, they’re lying. It was one of the first moments I started questioning whether this person was as cool as I’d thought. (more…)
